Our History
Born from a family business
Our founder, Lelethu Mbangi, grew up in Ngqeleni village outside Mthatha and was raised in the heart of his family’s business, Bucks Supermarket. His upbringing shaped his work ethic and passion for supporting family-run enterprises. With eight qualifications including an LLB and three Master’s degrees in Company Law, Tax Law and Business Law, he’s one of South Africa’s most comprehensively qualified tax and commercial advisors.
In 2013, with seed capital from Bucks Supermarket, Lelethu founded LM Attorneys to provide the specialised, all-encompassing and attentive support that family-and-founder-led businesses genuinely need.

Raised in a family enterprise, our founder experienced first-hand the challenges, unseen risks and lack of specialist resources at their helm.
